THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN PARIS

Μπιστρό στο Παρίσι

Paris is a beautiful but also a huge city to visit. And after spending all day exploring the city of light, you’ll get so hungry at some point, believe me.

One of my favourite things at the capital of France is the fact that you will find cuisines for all tastes. From gourmet French cuisine to Japanese, Spanish cuisine and of course street food options.

Personally I prefer the simpler flavours, I like to try new things, but not weird flavours or raw food. So as you can see I didn’t really appreciate French cuisine. But I did enjoy a lot of delicious food options in Paris.

The best food in Paris

Carette

Carette (4 Pl. du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre, 75016) is a fantastic cafe – bistro in the heart of Paris, near the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. It is undoubtedly one of the places to visit if you want to get a taste of Emily in Paris in real life.

You’ll almost always find it full and if you go you should get hot chocolate. It was fantastic. Of course you also have to get one of their delicious croissants.

Ps. I could eat French butter croissants all day long!

Bretteau Sébastien

In Paris I discovered this beautiful green bakery (31 Av. de la Motte-Picquet, 75007) and it didn’t disappoint me! I tried delicious French pastries, chocolate eclairs and millefeuilles. The prices are quite good compared to many French places. Definitely worths a visit.

La Brigade – Opera

One of my favourite street food options was La Brigade (25 Bd des Italiens, 75002). A very young, colourful and lively place.

The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We tried crispy chicken and beef, which came with fries and salad. It is definitely a very good option in Paris.

Braun Notes

At Braun Notes (31-33 Rue de Mogador, 75009) we enjoyed brunch options and they were perfect. I tried the chicken club sandwich, which had whole wheat bread, chicken, tomato, sauce, avocado, lettuce and cheese. It was served along with baked potatoes and salad.

The second dish I tried wasn’t as healthy as the first, but it was just as delicious. I had savory pancakes with a fried egg and maple syrup. For dessert we also had a piece of carrot cake.

SoHo Trattoria

Near Notre Dame de Paris you will find SoHo Trattoria (33 Rue Saint-Jacques, 75005 Paris) and you should definitely go for it. Apart from the fact that the decoration was very special the food was delicious!

Where to start? From the awesome Alfredo pasta we had? (Still dreaming about it!) From the pizza we tried? Everything was perfect. Everything that has to do with dough, like the pizzas and bread are made in the stone wood-fired ovens, so as you can imagine it’s all delicious.

It’s not one of the most economical places you’ll find, but okay let be honest, you’re in Paris! The quantities are also very generous. I would visit this place again if I ever go back to Paris.

Crispy Soul Voltaire

For a more… American cuisine, you can choose the Crispy Soul (75 Rue Léon Frot, 75011). You’ll find special burgers with breaded chicken, while for starters you can try mac n’ cheese fried balls.

The burgers are very large and you can find quite a few spicy options. It’s also worth trying their handmade fresh lemonade. Also, if you don’t want to eat a basic burger you can try the waffle burgers, which have waffles instead of bread!

Neko Ramen

From American cuisine straight… to Japanese. Neko Ramen (6 Rue de la Grange Batelière, 75009) was one of my most special – and favorite – places in Paris.

The restaurant serves ramen and traditional Japanese dishes in a traditionally decorated space. The staff wear traditional costumes and the whole setting is very impressive and unique.

Nako Ramen Paris - Παρίσι

All the dishes we tried were delicious, the portions are quite large and the prices are reasonable. If you want to get a table, I suggest you to go early because they don’t take reservations and the line is usually long.

For main course we chose a ramen dish and breaded chicken, which was marinated with honey, mustard and various spices and served with rice. We also got two plates of their appetizers.

Bateaux Mouches

The best experience I had in Paris was undoubtedly the meal on a dinner cruise with Bateaux Mouches on the Seine River.

I’ve written a whole article about the cruise and the dishes we tried, you can read it here.
