AIR CANADA RELAUNCHES ATHENS SERVICE FOR SUMMER 2026

Air Canada will relaunch and expand its seasonal service between Athens and Canada for the Summer 2026 travel season, offering daily flights to both Montreal and Toronto.

We are starting up this service a few weeks earlier than last year! This summer, Montréal to Athens will be operated up to 10 times weekly, and Toronto to Athens will be operated up to 11 times weekly.

“Air Canada is delighted to relaunch its Athens service for the 2026 season, offering more choice and more convenience for travellers between Greece and North America,” said Stefano Casaregola, Regional Manager Italy, Greece and Cyprus.

“Our flights strengthen an essential bridge between Greece and Canada — connecting families, supporting business, and fostering cultural exchange.

The relaunch coincides with Canada formally recognizing March as Hellenic Heritage Month, celebrating the deep historical roots, cultural legacy, and ongoing contributions of Greek Canadians across the country.

“With our expanded schedule, three cabin classes, and seamless connections via Montreal and Toronto, Air Canada remains the preferred choice for travel between Greece and Canada.”

Our Athens Flights are timed to provide convenient onward connections through Montreal and Toronto to destinations across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America.

Ioanna Papadopoulou, Director of Communications & Marketing at Athens International Airport, stated:

“It is a great pleasure to welcome Air Canada’s renewed and expanded operations in 2026.The Canadian market continues to demonstrate strong momentum, with Athens gaining further popularity among Canadian travellers.

The earlier start of the Air Canada operations this year – one month ahead of the previous year – is especially significant, as it further supports the extension of the tourism season and contributes to smoothing out the seasonality effect.

We warmly thank our airline partner for its continued trust to our market, and we remain committed to supporting the further development of its operations in the Athens market.”

  • Air Canada Signature Class with lie-flat seats, premium dining, and priority services
  • Premium Economy with wider seating and enhanced meal service
  • Economy Class with complimentary meals and personal entertainment screens
