The list of the world’s top passports has been released, with the Singapore passport taking the top spot and the Afghanistan passport coming in last.
According to the Henley Passport Index, the Singapore passport is the strongest in the world as its holders enjoy visa-free privileges to 195 destinations.
In second place is Japan, with free access to 193 destinations, returning to that position thanks to the restoration of visa-free entry to China for the first time since the Covid-19 lockdown.
Tied for third place are European Union countries such as France, Germany, Italy and Spain, along with Finland and South Korea, offering visa-free access to 192 destinations.
The fourth place belongs to seven European countries (Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway), with access to 191 destinations.
In fifth place are the United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium, Belgium, New Zealand and Switzerland, with 190 destinations.
Greece is ranked sixth
Greece is ranked sixth, along with Australia, offering free access to 189 destinations. Although this is a positive development for our country, it is worth noting that Greece “lost” one place, compared to the data for 2024.
In seventh place are Canada, Malta and Poland, while eighth are the Czech Republic and Hungary.
The top ten is closed by the United States, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Latvia, Slovenia and the United Arab Emirates.
At the bottom of the ranking is Afghanistan, with visa-free access to just 26 destinations. Syria and Iraq follow with 27 and 31 destinations.
