National Geographic suggests the best places in the world to travel in 2024.
At the beginning of each new year, international media publish lists of new travel trends, the best destinations and generally everything about travel in the new year.
Amongst all those suggested for this year you can add a few more adventures to a travel wishlist, as the travel gurus at National Geographic have just released a list of 20 exciting new travel experiences to try in 2024.
At the top of their list is a horseback safari in Kenya. The East African country is a famous safari destination and the Maasai Mara, a wildlife and wildlife conservation area, is inhabited by everything from big cats to elephants.
Usually safari trips rely on a four-by-four vehicle, but Nat Geo is turning the spotlight on horseback safaris as they are less disturbing to animal habitats and are a much more immersive way to see wildlife.
Niagara Falls also made National Geographic’s list, and while it’s hardly an obscure travel destination, there’s something very special to visit this year. That’s because it’s on the path of totality and will offer stunning views of the total solar eclipse on April 8.
And for those who love tea, now is the time to visit Sri Lanka. The stunning island nation is a leading global tea producer and you can follow the paths trodden by nineteenth century tea workers on the tea trails. There are many more destinations, take a look at the full list below.
